About the Process
For a side project, I decided to feature some of my best work up to this point in my graphic design career into a demo reel. To start the process, I went through to assess which projects I wanted to feature into the demo reel. After that was in play, I went ahead and created a storyboard to organize placement and also timing.
After Effects
After I finalized the storyboard, I went ahead into After Effects to string the projects together. I wanted to have a specific look and feel to the demo reel, to capture my brand in a fun, modern, trendy yet classy way. The music choice is an example of that feel as well as the other soft elements I added into it, such as my flying arrows.
Final Thoughts
In the end I feel like I executed my vision quite perfectly. I enjoyed this project and I hope that other’s who watch will too.
